Description

In WebCeph, the landmark table displays X coordinates as decimal numbers with two-digit precision, with the unit in millimeters (mm). This represents the horizontal distance of each landmark from a defined origin in the calibrated image coordinate system. The values are derived by converting pixel positions to real-world measurements using the image’s calibration scale. Thus coordinates can reflect actual anatomical distances for accurate cephalometric analysis and measurement consistency across images and devices.

For the landmark table, since S is at (0, 0) mm, it is taken as the reference point. The same approach can be followed. This logic can be made dynamic so that, in the future, if to change the reference to N or any other point, it will be easy to update the implementation.
