Description

SIR Model (Susceptible–Infectious–Recovered)
Fundamental model for infectious disease spread.
Used to study epidemic peaks and final size of the outbreak.

SEIR Model (Susceptible–Exposed–Infectious–Recovered)
Incorporated incubation period before infectiousness.
Applied to diseases with latency like COVID-19.

SIRS Model (Susceptible–Infectious–Recovered–Susceptible)
Added waning immunity and reinfection cycles.

Learned model assumptions, limitations, and parameter significance:

β (Beta): Transmission rate
γ (Gamma): Recovery rate
σ (Sigma): Incubation rate (in SEIR)
